Another busy Saturday!

The day before Festival Indonesia, Sanggar Lestari were keeping busy with not one, but TWO dance performances!

Our Saturday team preparing for two seperate events!

Mama Ning & Murianti attended the Ikawiria Seniors Day Event where Murianti performed a dance from the Dayak Culture of Kalimantan.

Meanwhile, on the other side of town Yana, Mama Yulitta, Ami & Tika attended a traditional Javanese wedding. A huge terima kasih to our family friend, Bu Miryam, who invited us to be part of her son’s special day. We performed Tari Gambyong from Java, which is traditionally performed at wedding ceremonies to welcome special guests and as a gift for the newlywed couple. We love wedding performances and this day was so special as the families had set up a traditional inspired Pelamin and Javanese ceremony. Terima Kasih for having us!
