WHY DO YOU LIKE INDONESIAN DANCING?

Indonesian dancing always reminds me of my childhood and my roots. I remember that my Mom was the one who encourages me to take Indonesian dance classes when I was in kindergarten. At that time, the dance taught was not so easy, but the more I learn, the more I found it enjoyable and exciting. Especially when you are performing on the stage, nothing can beat that feeling! No matter how hard the moves get, the dance always brings me to smile and have fun ☺. Also, you get to bond with friends from different parts of the culture too.

WHY ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT INDONESIA?

The hospitality among the community! Moving in Melbourne makes me realize one thing that I miss the most about Indonesia: meeting the friendly people who unhesitatingly say hi or smile to you even though they don’t know you at all! I’m more than lucky to find Sanggar Lestari family who helps to heal my homesickness❤
