We had another lovely Sunday afternoon celebrating Indonesian culture.

This Sunday took us to MAMU (Music Archive of Monash University) where we had the pleasure of enjoying gamelan music, as well as the beautiful sound of the traditional Sape from Kalimantan played by Rayhan Sudrajat along with his wife who danced gracefully next to him.

Ibu Spica also launched the music archive at MAMU followed by performances by Lenggok Geni who performed a fun Betawi dance called 'Ondel-Ondel' and finished the show off with the line dance 'Maumere'.

Sanggar Lestari was greeted with a pleasant surprise at the end of the show where Ibu Margaret Kartomi together with MAMU presented us with a gift of recognition for our continued contribution to the preservation of the Indonesian culture through dance.
