Kalimantan Shoot with Helena Wijaya

Sanggar Lestari Melbourne was so so so excited to see the photos from our recent Dayak inspired collaborative photoshoot with Helena Wijaya (click here to see Behind the scenes blog)

Lestari girls, Seraina and Yana were the models for this shoot with Deena assisting throughout. This shoot was very unique as it took us from land to river.

We loved the concept and creative eye of Mbak Helena. Being in this beautiful environment in such a traditional costume related closely to the strong emphasis on the daily use of rivers and boat markets in Kalimantan. Minus the Australian accents amidst, accidentally rowing into trees/land/other people and families enjoying a picnic on the riverside, the scene felt similar to a scene straight out of Kalimantan.

We are blown away by these beautiful photos and cannot wait for our next collaborative project! Terima Kasih banyak Mbak Helena!
